Say goodbye to the old staff: Microsoft has announced the removal date for Outbound Marketing

In response to evolving marketing trends, Microsoft has been actively developing the Real-time Marketing module since 2021, gradually preparing it as a replacement for the original Outbound Marketing module.

On August 13, 2024 Microsoft has officially announced the shutdown date for the Outbound Marketing module as a part of a transition timeline (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/journeys/transition-overview).

Transition Timeline:

  • Starting from August 2023, new users have access only to the Real-time Journeys module by default. Deploying Outbound Marketing required additional contact with Microsoft support.
  • December 2, 2024 – social media posting and LinkedIn lead generation capabilities will be removed.
  • June 30, 2025, the Outbound Marketing module will be removed. Existing users must migrate their processes from Outbound Marketing to Real-time Journeys before the transition deadline.

The escalation of military russian aggression naturally caused a wave of external sanctions, as well as internal restrictions on the consumption and use of goods, services and software of russian origin. Today, the refusal of such products is not only a manifestation of internal resistance to the invader, but also an urgent measure of protection against hidden threats, which during the last 10 years have regularly harmed Ukrainian business in the form of numerous hacker attacks.

The issue of migration from russian software is urgent and requires serious and speed efforts from Ukrainian state-makers and entrepreneurs. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved amendments to the law “On Sanctions”, which prohibit the use by legal entities on the territory of Ukraine of software products originating from foreign countries subject to sanctions.

The draft law proposes to recognize new types of sectoral sanctions, in particular, the ban on the distribution and use in Ukraine by legal entities of software products and their components originating from a foreign country to which sanctions have been applied in accordance with the Law on Sanctions.

Access to electronic information resources on the Internet owned or controlled by persons or organizations subject to sanctions is additionally restricted. This applies to websites, web pages, electronic communication networks and information and communication systems.

But many Ukrainian enterprises still use russian software to manage their business, despite the sanctions and war with the aggressor country. And the saddest thing is that most business owners do not see this as a threat and don’t see the point to changing it.

Information security of enterprises is an integral part of the economic independence of our country. Cyberspace has become a place of economic struggle.

We again appeal to Ukrainian companies and emphasize the migration from russian software to other safe-to-use accounting systems as soon as possible.

MAD Conference 2024, which took place in Warsaw on June 10-12, brought together over 300 Amazon sellers from 28 countries around the world.

Our colleague, Svetlana Fomina, Business Development & Sales, attended MAD Conference 2024. She listened to presentations and visited workshops, exchanged knowledge and experience with speakers and participants, gained practical skills, and was inspired by new ideas to stay on top of the latest e-commerce trends.

  • Added a new feature for managing rounding of amounts in the Purchase Invoice
  • Implemented the functionality of deleting cancelled VAT Invoices after reforming
  • Added the control for compliance with agreements during applying Purchase VAT Invoices.
  • Fixed the accounting of VAT Invoices after changing the VAT period in accordance with the adjusted initial date of the VAT period
  • Added the functionality of reforming VAT Invoices for when applying payment and invoice operations when there is no corresponding invoice for the VAT Invoice

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Localization for Ukraine (Fixed Assets accounting)

  • The standard FA-2 printed form has been developed
  • Added fields for displaying the name of the materially responsible person in the Detailed FA Statement printed form
  • Changed the logic of calculating depreciation of low value FA to meet the needs of Ukrainian accounting
  • Implemented the search of fixed assets by inventory number in fixed assets documents
  • Added automatic filling of column 9 ‘Serial number’ in the FA-1 printed form

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central HR management and payroll calculation solution for Ukraine

1. Human resources accounting

  • Automatic assignment of the regular vacation with the possibility of editing has been added to the Employment Order
  • Posting of the personnel documents for which the Document Number is entered manually is allowed
  • The ability to select the ‘Internal combiner’ employment type has been added to the Employment Order
  • Printed forms of the Employment Order, Employee Transfer Order, Termination Order have been updated
  • Added/expanded the Dimensions functionality in Human resources functionality
  • Updated Ukrainian translation of messages displayed before personnel orders posting

2. Personnel accounting

  • Added an algorithm for updating the operational timesheet when posting for timesheets with transient absence
  • Printed forms of the Business Trip Order and Vacation Order have been updated
  • Added/expanded the Dimensions functionality in timesheet management
  • Updated Ukrainian translation of messages displayed before absence documents posting

3. Payroll calculation

  • Improved the algorithm for calculating vacation compensation
  • In case of transitional sick leave, vacation, business trips, other absences in the Payroll Document, the algorithm for displaying the actual period in the Calculation Period field has been changed
  • The Taxes Recalculate button has been added to the payroll document
  • The ability to select the Document Type has been added to the page ‘Create Payroll General Journal Entries’: Payroll document or Payment statement
  • Improved logic for calculating salary balances
  • It is now possible to delete employees from the Payroll document
  • For calculation types, a new Type ‘Advance retained’ has been created, which will be used for preliminary accrued advance and taxes
  • Improved algorithm for calculating additional accruals with the ‘Tariff’ type
  • Added/expanded Dimensions functionality in payroll calculation functionality

All updates included in the IW Ukrainian Localization Release Note, 01.06.2024, are included in the corresponding applications of the Ukrainian localization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central from Innoware and are available to members of the Microsoft global cloud ecosystem on the appsource.microsoft.com.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management consultants completed their internship

Innoware is pleased to train and open its doors to new professionals in the field of ERP and CRM systems. Our company pays special attention to each internship. We educate and train interns who later continue their dynamic career growth with a clear and complete knowledge base gained during the internship.

This month, the consultants who completed the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management internship under the guidance of mentors – our experienced functional consultants and F&SCM system architects – started working.

What did our future colleagues do for two months during their internship?

– learning the system’s functionality, making settings in the system in accordance with business processes based on the example of Innoware projects,

– conducting demonstrations in the system, passing tests, preparing project documents, and receiving feedback on completed tasks,

– there were online meetings, lectures, Q&As, and independent work with training materials and the ERP system.

Upon completion, all trainees who reached the end of the internship and completed all the tasks, received a cash reward – a scholarship, as well as a certificate from Innoware on completion of the internship.

After that, our new colleagues will receive further training, mentoring from experienced professionals, participation in Innoware projects, and, of course, professional development.

We are happy to discover new talents and give such capable students a start.
